Tony, welcome to the podcast. It's really great to have you.

Rev. Tony Senf

Great to be back with you again. I always love our time together.

John Torrens

Yeah, me too. Tell me about your Out of the Matrix program. I've been there a few times and I've loved it. So yeah, talk about it for the audience.

Rev. Tony Senf

Out of the Matrix came about because we realized that These concepts that we're talking about are what a lot of people consider religious. They're really not. They're science when you really understand them. Because as you know, I don't consider myself religious. I consider myself very spiritual and very scientific. The way it came about was that a good friend of mine who you know, Chris Loretto, he and I developed Out of the Matrix together, you know, eventually. He asked me to come and speak to his class. He's a special ed teacher who takes in students from 17 other high schools who have been kicked out and helps them graduate.

John Torrens

Wow.

Rev. Tony Senf

So he asked me if I'd come in and spend a couple hours speaking to his kids because he had attended a lot of my workshops and classes and study groups and so on. And I said, certainly. Long story short, by the time the class was over, they asked if I would come back next week. And I looked at Chris and he had this shocked look on his face.

John Torrens

Because that's probably not something he gets often, right?

Rev. Tony Senf

Exactly. And he said he never got it, right? And he nodded and I said, yeah, I'll be back next week. What I did was I had created a workshop called Beyond Forgiveness. Based on the book, you know, I've been studying for almost 40 years called A Course in Miracles.

John Torrens

Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

And so what I did was I took the sections out of that workshop, Beyond Forgiveness, and I took out all the spiritual quotes and Course in Miracles quotes and religious references. And I taught what I consider to be the principles. We use a lot of, as you know, a lot of clips from the movie The Matrix. That's why we called it Out of the Matrix. And the Matrix is our metaphor for the world.

John Torrens

Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

And so that's how it really came about. From there, my gosh, we've taught it in a number of states. We taught it at Kent State University.

John Torrens

Yeah. And you actually collected some data there, right? We did.

Rev. Tony Senf

You've met Dr. Walter Davis.

John Torrens

Yep, I have.

Rev. Tony Senf

And he is a postgrad professor in phys ed and he teaches the relationship part of physical education. He teaches that to the grad students. He invited me to do it at Kent State and we did it for a few professors and some grad students. It blew them away to the point where they authorized a 7-year study be done on the program. They came in and did pre-testing on all of my students, post-testing on all my students, follow-up testing on all of my students, and they collected 7 years of data. And in a nutshell, their conclusion was we were getting faster, more long-lasting results than any positive psychology program they could find.

John Torrens

What an outcome that is, you know, and the cool part about it is that they're still the same people. They live in the same environment, same families, right? But you've taught them how to think a little differently, right? It's really just a mindset shift.

Rev. Tony Senf

Absolutely. And if you think about, you know, body, mind, spirit, reaching the entire person, body, mind, spirit. Now, I think they need to be reordered because, and it really reflects the thinking of the world, because the first thing we think is that we are our bodies.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

And it's my body that will get this done. It's my body that will attract a good mate, get me love. And the truth is your body is an effect of your mind. So you've got to start with what I've come to call source and then spirit, because that spirit is really who you are. The mind is that thinking part of it, and both of those are intangible. And now we move to the tangible part of our being, which is the body. And if we can keep that in order and put the source first, now we can be effective. You can't deal with symptoms and get rid of the disease, which is the biggest problem with our pharmaceutical industry. And I'll leave that for another time, but they're dealing with symptoms. So let's get to the source and that's the mind.

John Torrens

Yeah. So, so maybe you're suggesting that we change the name of the podcast to, to Mind Spirit or Spirit Mind Body. Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

Or Mind Spirit Body.

John Torrens

Yeah. Mind Spirit Body. Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

Because it really kind of puts it in the right order.

John Torrens

Well, yeah. So specific to entrepreneurship, right? Because of course this content applies everybody, right? But since we're concerned about improving entrepreneurial outcomes, I want to talk a little bit more about that. And one thing that I find interesting is that, so there's a lot of research that suggests that entrepreneurship or this overwork that often comes with it is a lot like an addiction, right? And an addiction is something you can't stop doing, right? And we've all met entrepreneurs who just default to work mode because that's what they're comfortable with. They literally can't stop doing it. despite the fact that they're not sleeping, they're not eating well, their relationships are suffering, and so on. So I know you talk about the matrix of addiction. Maybe briefly bring us through that a little bit. I think that would be interesting.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yeah.

John Torrens

Wow.

Rev. Tony Senf

Good question. First, let's look at addiction and what it really is. Since everything begins in the source or mind, we need to understand a bit about the mind. The mind's natural state is peace. Okay? But when we get life in the wrong order, For example, putting your body before your mind, as we talked about, right? Or before the spirit that you really are. Okay? Now things are out of order and the mind will get into conflict. Conflict occurs when the mind— when you're introducing or entertaining 2 opposing beliefs. Now, the belief that you are spirit, the belief that you are mind, that who you really are is already in there because that's how you were created. Now you started introducing thoughts like, I'm a body. I need to work. I need to earn money. My body, the physical part, needs not only food, but gourmet food. It not only needs a house, it needs a mansion. It doesn't just need transportation, it needs a Lamborghini. And now you're into conflicting beliefs. And not that there's anything wrong with mansions, Lamborghinis, or gourmet food. It's not. But when you put them as a priority, now you're conflicting with who you really are. This spiritual being that you are, this eternal being of mind, of consciousness. Because who you really are is consciousness. And when you put the body first, now you're introducing ideas and concepts into a mind that creates conflict. Once conflict is created in the mind, you now have a loss of peace. It's conflict. You can't have conflict and peace at any level, let alone in the mind. Right?

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

So now the mind is in conflict. Well, then the mind's natural state is peace. So what's it gonna do? It's gonna seek peace. Well, it does that through addiction. Now, it isn't the peace that comes from knowing who you really are, what you really are. It's a false peace, if you will.

John Torrens

Or maybe like feelings of pleasure versus true happiness, maybe.

Rev. Tony Senf

There you go. Yes. Pleasure. Physical sensation that brings a pleasure, which is not peace. The mind goes out and seeks it though. And it seeks it through the gourmet food, the mansion, the Lamborghini, which brings you a temporary sense of happiness. But it's really, as you said, pleasure.

John Torrens

Mm-hmm.

Rev. Tony Senf

And so you get addicted to it because when you're doing it, you have a sense of pleasure. But when you're not doing it, like you just said, now your home life is falling apart, your relationships are falling apart, your health is falling apart, and you're not happy. Only when you're working real hard, right? Or doing drugs or doing alcohol or shopping. Addiction can take on many, many forms.

John Torrens

Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

It's the mind seeking some kind of relief from the torment that it's in.

John Torrens

Yeah, that's a good point. And it seems to me that the reason, at least in the case of entrepreneurship, they overwork. Yes, because there's an addiction there. They think that by overworking, they're going to be able to get the mansion or the Lamborghini. And once they get that, then they'll be happy, right? They've gotta do the work to get the thing to be happy. But it seems like you could actually just skip that line and go right to being happy, right? If you can train yourself to do that.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes. And here's the cool thing about it. Once people get this concept, once you go for that inner happiness, once you understand who you really are and you're guided by these higher principles, Your mind first goes to peace. Okay? Then you are better operating, better functioning, more effective, more efficient, which means your business is going to get better. It's going to become more successful. It's going to become more profitable. And now the gourmet food, the mansion, and the Lamborghini just come naturally, and you don't have to worry about them. And the cool thing is, once you get there, you go, You know, I enjoy gourmet food, but I don't need it all the time.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

Mansion is nice, but I don't really need that big a house. Come on. I don't need to impress somebody else.

John Torrens

Right. It's too much space and all this, right? Yeah. I've read an article about Warren Buffett who still lives in the same old house he's lived in for decades, right? And this guy could afford to live wherever he wants, but this is clearly where he wants to live, right? He doesn't need all the ostentatious shows of wealth. He's fine where he is. I think that's a great example.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes. I think part of this is the same mistake we just talked about. We think those things are going to bring us happiness, bring us peace. They don't. Yeah.

John Torrens

It seems to me there's a real ROI in working on your own inner peace and happiness. Because I think actually in your Out of the Matrix workshop, one of the things you say first is that happy people live 7 years longer on average than unhappy people, right?

Rev. Tony Senf

Yeah.

John Torrens

So if you imagine the compounded benefits of living a longer, happier life in terms of relationships and business and wealth, And, and that sort of thing. There's clearly an ROI for entrepreneurs to work on this inner peace.

Rev. Tony Senf

Absolutely. And if you think about what you just said, remember I said earlier that the body is an effect of the mind. Well, once you get the peace in the mind, the body gets healthier and it lives 7 years longer on average. It has to because it's an effect, not a cause.

John Torrens

So it's this alignment really, right? So, you know, you're aligned, you know, inside internally and that just reflects outwards.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes. And it affects in whatever your entrepreneurship is applied to. Because if the body is an effect of the mind and the body is physical and the mind is non-physical or what I call non-tangible and the body is tangible, the tangible is the effect of the intangible always. So if my body's getting healthier and it's a tangible, guess what else gets healthier? My business gets healthier.

John Torrens

Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

It becomes more effective, more efficient. So if entrepreneurs really want to be successful, then they need to work on what they think and who they know themselves to be. Part of my experience in life as an entrepreneur, as you know, is I got out of working the physical labor thing I did for a long time.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

And then decided to get into business. And once I did that, over time, I found myself doing teachings and trainings, and I started as a salesman in business and then got worked up to being a national marketing director for 3 major corporations actually, and was able to generate over $1 million in sales for each of those companies in the short time I was with them as a marketing director. But when I would teach people things, I would teach them things like, look, you really have to know your business. You have to know the market. You have to know your demographics. You really have to know your product. Okay? You have to know all of those things, work hard on those things. But what you need to work on even harder than that is yourself. If you work on yourself first, the rest of those will fall in line. Not that you don't have to study them and know them, you definitely do, but you gotta work on yourself first. It starts with you.

John Torrens

Yeah, it is a good point. And I mean, if you think about it, the entrepreneurial lifecycle or journey starts with the entrepreneur's ideation and concept development, right? So it does literally Come from inside of that person, right? So there's a lot to be gained by working on yourself. So, you know, a lot of times if I haven't heard it directly from people, which I have, it's an undertone, but, you know, they struggle with balancing, you know, what we'll call spiritual life or just, you know, self-work with their business goals, right? So what advice would you give them, you know, when they feel like they have to choose between, you know, self-fulfillment or spiritual fulfillment and business success? Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

I can sum my advice in that arena into 4 words. Stop compartmentalizing your life.

John Torrens

Ah.

Rev. Tony Senf

It's all one thing. If you notice, in all those compartments you've made in your life, you show up in every one of them.

John Torrens

Right. You're the commonality.

Rev. Tony Senf

You're the common denominator in everything in your life. You're the common denominator in every experience you've ever had. So quit compartmentalizing it. And when you start working on you, then you begin to realize you are you, whether you're at home with your family, whether you're on the job, whether you're out on vacation, whatever you're doing, it doesn't matter. You are always there. So when you work on you, that problem will go away.

John Torrens

Ah.

Rev. Tony Senf

Once you become balanced within yourself, because remember, you're the source, you're the intangible. Everything outside of you is the effect. So if I'm balanced within me, guess what happens to my life? It shows up balanced.

John Torrens

Yeah. I was going to talk about this a little bit later, but it seems like it's a good time to talk about it now. So I want to dive into some things that, you know, maybe would be considered a little weirder or maybe things we couldn't even talk about in polite company 10 or 15 years ago.

Rev. Tony Senf

Right?

John Torrens

So what you just alluded to is It reminds me of the placebo effect a little bit, right? Where it all kind of starts in my mind. And the placebo effect is so real that the pharmaceutical company has to factor it in when they're bringing new drugs to market because they have to account for the fact that people just think the pill is working and therefore it works.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes. I have a very dear acquaintance over in Toledo who actually worked for a pharmaceutical company and He noticed that, you know, the placebo effect, right? So he went to the powers that be and said, look, why don't we focus on this placebo thing? Because that seems to be where it really lies. And he realized he had to quit doing that or he was going to lose his job.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

Because pharmaceutical companies don't make money teaching you that you can heal yourself.

John Torrens

Yeah, no, you need their pill, right? You have to be dependent on it.

Rev. Tony Senf

He said, Tony, here's what I came to finally realize. It's all Placebo?

John Torrens

Everything, right? I think Dr. Joe Dispenza talks about that. It goes beyond like just, you know, thinking you're better. Your body actually responds. So remember the study where the woman gave 2 different groups different shakes? Like one was very high caloric and one was low caloric. When they drank the high caloric one, their ghrelin went up and ghrelin is a signal that you're satiated. With the low caloric one, ghrelin stayed low, which is a signal that you're not satiated. It was the exact same shake.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes.

John Torrens

The only thing that was different was that the people drinking it thought one had more calories than the other. And with that thought, it sent signals to their body to secrete ghrelin in different levels. That's mind-blowing to me.

Rev. Tony Senf

It is. And that's why I said spirit and mind have to come before body because it's all in the mind. You know, one of my favorite quotes was said by Henry Ford. He said, if you think you can, you're right. If you think you can't, you're right. Yep.

John Torrens

And actually it reminds me too, you talked about it in your workshop again, it was the Garfield study before the 1980 Olympics, right? With the basketball players. Do you remember that one? They had 4 groups, right? One group was like 100% practicing free throws. Group 2, 75% practicing, 25% mental, all the way down to group 4. That was 25% physical, 75% mental. And it was the group that did the 75% visualization on the shooting free throws that performed better, even though they did practice, but they visualized it first. And this is really common in athletes, right? They always talk about visualizing the outcome and high-performing entrepreneurs talk about visualizing the outcome, but it's real, right? I mean, your body doesn't know the difference between what you're thinking and what you're actually doing. It's really all the same, right?

Rev. Tony Senf

To the body, yes. Which again comes back to my point. You've got to put mind before body. Right?

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

Because your body doesn't know the difference between what you're thinking and what it actually is seeing or experiencing. It doesn't know. The idea of visualizing, you know, as you're talking about, athletes do that a lot. What we really haven't figured out yet is that we're always doing it. It isn't something that you just go, okay, I'm going to do it. Now you can do it consciously by really saying, I'm gonna do this consciously. I'm gonna do this deliberately. But the truth is we are always doing it. Your mind, if you really think about it, when you think, you think in pictures.

John Torrens

Yeah. So that's like with an entrepreneur who's facing a very common thing, imposter syndrome, right? They think, oh, I don't belong here. People are gonna think I'm a fraud. What am I doing here? It's that constant loop that's going on in your mind, whether it's positive or negative, it's making a difference.

Rev. Tony Senf

Oh, it, it's making it happen.

John Torrens

Yeah, right, exactly.

Rev. Tony Senf

The non-physical, or what I'm calling the non-tangible, becomes tangible.

John Torrens

Which is just crazy, right? And the interesting thing is like, it feels like science is starting to catch up now, right? Like we have the methodologies, we have the instrumentation to measure some of these things, right? Like quantum entanglement, for example, right? Einstein's spooky action at a distance where 2 particles separated, you know, you act on one and the other one has an equal action. It's super interesting, right? So the other thing I wanted to mention was this Dr. Emoto's water experiment. Yes. Talk about that a little, because that is kind of unbelievable and mind-blowing and so interesting.

Rev. Tony Senf

Let me comment first on it because you've said a couple of times about it's mind-boggling, it's unbelievable, right?

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

And that's because to the intellect, it can't figure this stuff out. This is beyond what the intellect can figure out.

John Torrens

Because it's not involved directly, right? So it can't compute.

Rev. Tony Senf

It can't compute. So we have to get beyond the intellect and the mind. Only one little small part of the mind is intellect, just a small part, but it's the one that we have really focused on. And so that's why it seems unbelievable. It is to the intellect. But once you get beyond the intellect, you go, oh, I get it. But you're not understanding with the intellect. You're understanding of what we're coming to call the heart. And what we just talked about, I'm afraid I lost your question.

John Torrens

I do that all the time. That's my life sometimes. It was Dr. Emoto's water experiment where an intention results in a physical effect in something separate or what we perceive as separate from ourselves.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes, exactly. And that again goes back to mind is the source. The tangible, the physical is an effect of it, which has shown up in Dr. Emoto's work. Okay. So what Dr. Emoto figured out was that just what we said, that the mind affects the physical, but he realized that water was where you could see it evidenced most clearly. So what he did was he took distilled water, And he would, well, he did a number of things with it, but one, he would talk to it and put little labels on it like, I hate you. And he'd put another one on like, I love you. And then freeze them, shave them very thin, and look at their crystalline structure through a dark field microscope. And what he saw was the one that said, I hate you, looked all distorted. The crystalline structure was not pretty, but the one that said, I love you, looked like a snowflake. And this is water. And like you said, we're 90% water. So we have to be careful of what we think.

John Torrens

Yeah, our thoughts matter tremendously, right? So if, if we can do that with a drop or a vial of water, imagine what negative self-talk does to the structure of all the water in our body and then what that does to our state of being.

Rev. Tony Senf

And what it does to what we call our life.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

You know, it's affecting your life. And here's where it gets really tricky and why this needs to be taken on and looked at and studied for a little bit by people so you can really kind of get what's going on. Because on the surface, it looks just the opposite. Where it gets really tricky is that we have relegated most of our thoughts and most of our beliefs to that part of the mind that psychologists call the subconscious. And we do that because most of our thoughts are kind of painful. We all grew up with thoughts like, I'm not good enough. I'm not smart enough. I don't matter. I'm not lovable. I'm not important enough. Or thoughts like you shared a while ago about an entrepreneur who goes, oh, people are going to think I'm crazy. You know, people are going to, you know, laugh at me.

John Torrens

Nobody wants this thing.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yeah. Yeah. Nobody wants this. Am I going to be able to make it? Those are very negative thoughts.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

And you can know that if you pay attention to your feelings. Because you can't have those thoughts and feel good.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

You just can't, right? What do we do with them? Because we all want to feel good. Remember I said that the mind's natural state is peace, so it wants to get back to peace. So how does it get to peace with all those crazy thoughts? Well, it shoves them down into the subconscious. That way they become subconscious.

John Torrens

Right.

Rev. Tony Senf

I'm not thinking about them. Therefore, I'm going to think about happy thoughts. Those subconscious thoughts are still there and they have energy. And as you said earlier, we now have the scientific equipment and technology to measure those thoughts.

John Torrens

Mm-hmm.

Rev. Tony Senf

And we can tell if they are a higher frequency thought, those loving, peaceful thoughts we have, or they're a low frequency thought, those negative, painful thoughts, negative emotions that we have. And we can tell, we can feel it. So those negative thoughts that we've relegated to our subconscious are still active. They're still giving off their frequency. And they're still affecting our lives and we don't even know it. So we take those, oh, I wonder if I can do this. I wonder if this product is going to be accepted by the public. I wonder if people are going to laugh at me when I come up with this idea that I was just inspired with. Okay.

John Torrens

Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

And now we relegate it to something to be afraid of, and that's what creates our life.

John Torrens

Yeah. So it really kind of speaks to the importance of things like You know, positive affirmations and just, you know, positive self-talk or even getting yourself into a good mental state. For example, like before a big pitch meeting or something, right? Like instead of going in there with fear and anxiety, taking a few minutes to center and imagining the audience loving you and your product or service or something, right? Because you're just like a big antenna sending out signals that are already swirling around in your head. And other people are going to pick up on that.

Rev. Tony Senf

Absolutely. And that's a great place to start. It's where a lot of people start with positive affirmations, beginning to start to think positively. But I say it's a good start for this reason. Eventually, if you're really going to live a life of that and have that evidenced in your life, you can't just go to the positive. You have to get rid of the negative.

John Torrens

Ah, so how do they do that?

Rev. Tony Senf

You do that through, and I'm gonna use some words that are not considered religious.

John Torrens

Okay.

Rev. Tony Senf

You need to let it go. What we consider the religious word, although it's being very, very accepted now in psychology, is that word forgiveness. And all forgiveness really is, it isn't something religious, it's really very scientific. Okay? Forgiveness is very scientific. Based on what we just said, if I'm carrying these negative thoughts in my subconscious and they're still affecting my life, regardless of how positive I may consciously think, drink. Now, that will help. That will help. But that negative is going to come through because it's still there. The frequency is still there of those thoughts. So all forgiveness is, is letting go of a belief that isn't true. It's scientific. If I let go of a negative belief that's causing negative effects in my body and my life, then if I shift that to a positive belief, now it will have positive effects on my body and my life. But to do that, I can't just shift it by having the positive thought. I have to literally let go of— I have to choose. Because one of the things we all have is free will. And I choose what I want to believe. And until I know that, I'll believe whatever's put in my head, which is a bunch of— what's the old computer adage? Garbage in, garbage out.

John Torrens

Yeah, for sure.

Rev. Tony Senf

I would just believe whatever's put in my head until I realized that what I'm holding onto in my beliefs are creating my life.

John Torrens

Mm.

Rev. Tony Senf

Creating my business as an entrepreneur. Once I understand that, now I've got to get rid of all those negative vibes, those negative frequencies through forgiveness, which is simply recognizing the belief, owning it. It's my belief. Okay? I'm responsible for my life. And then deciding whether it's true or not. And this is why we're going to go back to what we said at first. You've got to put spirit mind first before body, because you really are this incredible, eternal, limitless, changeless spiritual being. Not religious. Okay? You're this spiritual being that was here before religion ever showed up on the planet. Once you put that first, now your mind will follow in that direction and it will recognize these thoughts that are holding you back in your life. In your entrepreneurship, in your business life. That's why you have to stop compartmentalizing your life.

John Torrens

So I guess for practical application of that, I was thinking of an entrepreneur who's experienced failure, which if you're an entrepreneur, you're going to experience failure at some point, right? So after a failure, you can beat yourself up and say, well, I'm stupid. I'm not good enough to do this anyway. What was I thinking? I shouldn't have started. You know, I ruined people's lives. So I guess to apply what you just talked about, it would be just a matter of owning those beliefs and saying, all right, I think that, you know, I'm stupid. And then questioning, say, well, is that actually true? And you come to the conclusion that, well, no, it's not true. I just maybe made a series of mistakes and then turning it around and saying, well, instead of beating myself up over it, what can I learn from this? Maybe taking something positive from it and almost forgiving yourself first. For the failure and then moving on?

Rev. Tony Senf

Absolutely. Because your life begins with you. You have to forgive yourself first. One of the things that you've heard me say is that this outside world is a mirror and it's going to show you what you believe. So if you clean up what's inside of you and you just hold these positive, wonderful, glorious thoughts that you were really created to be, now that effect is going to show up in Your life. It has to. And if I have negative thoughts, it's going to show up in my life. It has to. That's the way it works. Yeah.

John Torrens

It's like the physics of abundance, right? And I know you've talked about quantum abundance, I think it is, right?

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes.

John Torrens

I love that because I do believe, you know, and there's a lot of science just to suggest that we're all part of a quantum field, right? We're just part of this field of energy and we're all connected even though we don't see it. Right?

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes.

John Torrens

So yeah, talk a little bit about quantum abundance. I think that's pretty neat.

Rev. Tony Senf

Wow. Okay. This all ties into everything we've talked about so far. It's the way the world is created. The planet is created. It's the way everything is created. It's created from the quantum field. But that quantum field will only create based upon my mind.

John Torrens

That's the only way you can generate it, right? Because that's what we've got.

Rev. Tony Senf

So once I understand that, now I can move into quantum abundance. Quantum, meaning that we have risen above the confines of the body and into that quantum field of the mind.

John Torrens

Hmm.

Rev. Tony Senf

That's where the mind exists. It exists in the quantum. It doesn't really exist in your body. We think it exists in our brain. It doesn't. It's in the quantum field. And once we feed that mind certain beliefs, the quantum field goes, oh, okay, I can do that for you.

John Torrens

That's right.

Rev. Tony Senf

You think you're an idiot? Oh, okay. I can create that for you.

John Torrens

We'll set things up to prove that for you.

Rev. Tony Senf

Exactly. As a matter of fact, I'm going to have to read a quote that I actually saved because it was just so powerful and it speaks so much to what we're talking about here. It goes like this. Remember, every thought system is founded on the cornerstone of what you think you are. A soul that fervently believes it is separate from God will create a building of thought based on that faith, and her mind will show her that she is right, even if it is not true. Ask the mind to show you the truth, it will. Ask it for anything else, and it will do it for you.

John Torrens

Yeah, that's beautiful. So true. And, you know, I see that in students and entrepreneurs. I mean, I don't know if it's confidence or what, but like the entrepreneurs who just You know, walk into a room and feel like they're gonna kill it. They do, right? And, and the ones that are nervous or think, oh man, I shouldn't be here, you know, I can't do this. That happens for them too, right?

Rev. Tony Senf

Yeah. If you think you can, you're right. If you think you can't, you're wrong.

John Torrens

Yeah.

Rev. Tony Senf

Lack of confidence only comes from a belief that I'm not good enough. I'm not worthy. I'm not smart enough. But we have no idea what a powerful creative device we have called the mind. We don't think of it that way, but you are literally creating your life With your thoughts.

John Torrens

Yeah. The other thing I've read too is that it's even a little bit more beyond the thought, right? So like if I say I'm a successful entrepreneur, that's one thing, right? And you can keep saying that to yourself. But what I've read is that you have to put yourself in the position that you are already, right? Like, so you can't say, oh, I want to be successful. You have to have the vibration or the thought that I'm already successful. And that's what Manifests that almost.

Rev. Tony Senf

Yes. Because if we can keep in mind that the outside physical world that we see is nothing but an effect of our thoughts. If I have the thought I'm going to be successful, I get to live a life of someday I'm going to be successful. That's not success. But if I live the life I am successful, because if I am successful, then the physical world, my physical life has to reflect that back to me.

John Torrens

Yeah, this is just really great stuff. Super important for anybody, especially entrepreneurs. So how would you summarize this conversation?

Rev. Tony Senf

Good question. Basically that you are your life and what you call your life is a reflection of what you think and what you believe yourself to be. So the most important question you can really ask yourself is, who do you believe yourself to be, because it's gonna be reflected in your life. Now, that life includes your relationships as well as your business, your entrepreneurship, your entire life, and they will be reflected in that. So if you're looking for successful relationships, meaning being loving, supportive, communication, and if you're looking for your business to be successful, meaning that it is servicing people well, it's supplying people with a need that they have, and you're filling that need, then that is going to happen in such a way that you will do it and be happy doing it. And then everything else will come.

John Torrens

That is beautifully said and a perfect way to end the conversation. So, Toni, thank you so much. This was great. And I think this is really important information that I hope people absorb and are able to apply. So if they're interested in learning more about you and what you do, Where can they find you?

Rev. Tony Senf

I do have a website. It's rev-tony.com. Pretty simple. rev-tony.com. And then from there, I've got other work I do. I do Zoom gatherings and, you know, workshops and so on, but they can find all that out on my website.

John Torrens

Amazing. Well, thank you so much for your time, and I really appreciate it. We'll talk to you soon.

Rev. Tony Senf

Thank you, my friend. Thank you for having me.
