Careers

Come build this
while it is still small.

We are early. That means the work is real, the feedback is direct, and what you build will still be here in three years with your fingerprints on it.

What this actually is

Internships, not coffee runs.

Entrepreneur.ing is a small team building an education and coaching company for founders. A podcast with ninety-plus episodes, a growing library of written work, coaching programs, and the systems underneath all of it.

There is more to do than we can do. So we are opening a set of internships for people who want to work on real things and are willing to be told directly when something is not good enough.

You would work alongside Dr. John M. Torrens, a five-time Inc. 5000 founder and Professor of Entrepreneurial Practice at Syracuse University. Weekly one-to-ones. Direct feedback. No layers.

Open roles

Six places we need help.

Apply to whichever fits. If two fit, say so. If none of them fit but you think you should be here, there is an option for that at the bottom.

AI & Automation

Remote or Syracuse

We run on a stack of connected tools, and a lot of what happens between them is still manual. This role is for someone who sees a repetitive process and wants to make it disappear.

  • Build and maintain automations across our CRM, forms, and analytics
  • Use AI tooling to turn long-form material into usable outputs
  • Find the manual work nobody has questioned yet, and kill it

Content & Clips

Remote or Syracuse

We have ninety-plus recorded conversations, full transcripts of every one, and new footage filmed most days. Very little of it has been turned into anything. That is the gap.

  • Cut short-form clips from long-form episodes
  • Pull written pieces and quote graphics out of the transcript library
  • Own a publishing rhythm rather than a pile of drafts

Podcast Production

Remote or Syracuse

The show runs weekly and the pipeline behind it is mostly held together by hand. Sourcing, screening, scheduling, prep, and follow-up all need an owner.

  • Find and pitch guests worth having on
  • Screen inbound applications and schedule the ones that fit
  • Prepare briefing notes so John walks in ready

Growth & Paid Media

Remote or Syracuse

We are starting to spend on advertising and nobody owns it day to day. This role is for someone who wants to learn paid acquisition on a real budget with real consequences.

  • Run and watch campaigns across TikTok and Google
  • Read the analytics honestly, including when something is not working
  • Test creative and report what actually moved

Community

Remote or Syracuse

Clients work inside a private community alongside the coaching. Someone needs to make that space worth being in rather than another dormant forum.

  • Run the rhythm of the community: prompts, threads, follow-ups
  • Notice who has gone quiet and do something about it
  • Feed what you hear back to the people building the programs

Design

Remote or Syracuse

Most of what we have made visually has been made by people who are not designers. It shows. If you have taste and can work fast, there is a lot here to improve.

  • Ad creative, social assets, and page layouts
  • Bring consistency across four sites that grew separately
  • Make the printed and downloadable material look like it was designed

Terms

Being straight with you.

What we can and cannot offer

  • These are unpaid internships. We would rather say that plainly than bury it.
  • We can work with your school to arrange academic credit. Our founder is faculty at Syracuse and has done this before.
  • Remote is fine. Syracuse is fine. We care about the work, not the postcode.
  • Hours are flexible and set with you. We would rather have six focused hours than twenty distracted ones.
  • We are small and growing. If you are excellent and we are still growing when your internship ends, we will want to keep you. We cannot promise that in advance and we will not pretend otherwise.

How to apply

A resume, and three answers on video.

Send a resume and record three short answers. Sixty seconds each, recorded here in your browser. There is no retake, which is deliberate. We would rather see how you think on your feet than how well you edit.

Record wherever you are. The questions are the same for every role:

  • Why this, specifically? Not why an internship. Why this company.
  • Tell us about something you made or fixed that nobody asked you to.
  • Pick one thing we have published, an episode, a blog post, the quiz, and tell us one thing you would change about it and why.

John reads every application. You will hear back either way.
